We have taught our fair share of puppy classes, obedience workshops, training seminars and our own foundations are built on 1-1 training with dogs and owners just like you! Whether you have a puppy and are looking to set them up with the best life skills (and to prevent unwanted behaviours as they get older...) or you're wanting to improve your dogs current training, we are here for you !

"What's involved?"
That first phone call...
First, we will start with a FREE discovery call with either one of us so you can take your time to explain the issues you're having with your dog and we can ask any questions like "are they fit and well?", "do they have any behavioural issues?", "have they done any basic training before?" The more we know about you and your dog during the call, the better we can plan your first session! (so you get even more bang for your buck!)
How the sessions work...
Depending on your location, we can visit you at your home or you can come to Leek, Staffordshire for your first session but we will discuss this with you during the free discovery call.
Depending on where we meet, your first session will be getting to know you and your dog then getting straight into some training! You will then be sent a recap of the session with homework handouts for you to go over in your own time to practice what you have learned. You can book as many foundation training sessions as you like or we can design you a package based on your goals like a Puppy Package, a Crash Course or a Refresher (that will also get you some money off too!)

The price for our basic training sessions start at £75 but we will chat to you on our FREE call to be sure we are matching you with the right level of support and training. If you'd like us to design a package for you such as a puppy package, a refresher or a crash course (to get some money off too) just ask us!

Let's look at some common basic training issues...
LOOSE LEAD WALKING
Your dog is DETERMINED to get to where they are going and it doesn't matter who is on the other end of the lead? They aren't bothered about dogs or people or traffic, they just live for their walks? Perhaps you're looking to set your puppy on the best paw forward and are wanting a loose lead to be part of their future? Loose lead skills is what you are looking for.
RECALL
We love to see dogs playing off lead and adventuring but we are also behaviourists and one thing we want for all dogs is a perfect recall before they get their total freedom off-lead. If you are wanting to train your dog to have a rapid recall or you are desperately wanting to get back to a reliable recall without the battle (and embarrassment) every time, recall training is the one for you.
SOCIAL MANNERS
We aren't talking about dogs that bark and lunge and try rush over to other dogs and people here (if this sounds like your dog, have a look at our Behavioural Training page)
Social manners is for dogs that are persistent jumper-uppers when they see their favourite people. Dogs that you'd like to settle in a cafe in Summer or cozy pub with you in winter. Social manners training is to help your dog be the best canine citizen they can be in a "public" life.
PUPPY TRAINING
There is a lot that comes with owning a puppy and as behaviourists, we want to PREVENT problem behaviours from arising- which starts in puppyhood. You can book puppy training as one-off sessions or, our recommended route, is to book Puppy Package for us to guide you through the common toughies like toilet training, teething, sleep schedules, lead walking, socialisation. As us about a Puppy Package if you'd prefer the full works!
