"I need help!"

Your dog is barking and lunging at other dogs and people. Maybe they're trying to chase cars too? They are growling over toys, food and the sofa. Maybe they have bitten you or your child?  They are a rescue and you are really struggling with their behaviour.

What did we miss? Whatever it is, we can help.

"We had completely lost hope with Bruno. After 3 trainers, our vet recommended Rachel and Laura and they've just totally changed our lives. We can actually take him on holiday now!"

The Behaviour Assessment

For dogs that bark, bite, growl, lunge and everything in-between...

"What's involved?"

A lovely little chat...

  • We will start with a FREE discovery call with either one of us so you can take your time to explain the issues you're having.

  • After the call, we may suggest you pop along to your vets for a check-up and referral, but not always!

  • Don't fancy a call? We can chat on emails or WhatsApp! Just tell us what you prefer

In-person session...

  • After our chat, we will get you booked in for your Behavioural Assessment (if you are claiming through insurance, you will need a vet referral)

  • 1.5hr-2hr in-person meet up at your home or secure location. This session is to learn about you, your dog and their home environment, training history etc. As experts in what we do, we look at the entire picture from diet to sleep patterns, exercise levels to ancestry.

  • We will create a personal plan for you and your dog that will improve your dog's behaviour FAST.

  • You'll also get all of our training tutorials sent to you to practice at home too...for FREE

Insured or not insured...

  • We will work with everyone; whether your dog is insured or not. But we believe that everyone should get the most (and best) from their insurance providers so if you are insured, we recommend you having a look through your policy to see if behavioural help & training is covered.

  • This DOESN'T mean your dog will be blacklisted as "aggressive". Behaviour help can cover anxiety, nervousness, dog reactivity, separation anxiety and isolation distress, human directed aggression, sound and noise sensitivity to name a few.

How much...

  • 1.5hr-2hr (approx) in-person specialist initial assessment

  • A full personalised training and management plan including training for you to get started straight away

  • Training tutorials for you to practice at your own pace

  • Step-by-step guides to keep and follow

  • Phone support and feedback FOR FREE

The price for our behavioural training starts at £300

*your location may incur a price difference depending on travel time. Travel is free within 30 minutes of Leek, Staffordshire and if you are insured, this will be included in the invoice!

Let's look at some common behaviour issues...

RESOURCE GUARDING

Toys, food, sofas, personal space...

Your dog may growl, freeze and stare, steal things, run away if they have something valuable or they may have even snapped or bitten. It keeps their precious things safe and it keeps you (and other dogs/animals) away. Resource guarding can start at very low levels even from puppy hood and can escalate FAST.

DOG-DOG REACTIVITY

This is a huge umbrella term but dog-dog reactivity can look like pulling, lunging, growling, barking, snapping, staring, circling (to name a few) behaviours towards other dogs. It can happen at home and in public so it is important that your training covers their lives as a whole. And yes, your dog CAN be sociable towards other dogs AND reactive. It's not all about aggression!

Fear, lack of confidence, bad past experiences, poor socialisation, lack of early life experiences, genetics...we have worked with it all.

HUMAN DIRECTED AGGRESION

This one is quite self explanatory and shows many similarities to dog-dog aggression. However, human-directed aggression is commonly triggered by poor life experiences and genetic predispositions so we work to build up your dogs confidence and coping skills, giving you the knowledge and tools to help your dog as an individual. It is important to know that we will work with ANY breed of dog and we are also experienced in working with security and guard dogs.

SEPARATION ANXIETY

Another term that you will see all over the internet but separation anxiety very often requires us to work alongside your vet to help to manage your dog's anxiety whilst we work through a training and management plan. However, not all dogs that don't like to be left alone have separation anxiety! But there are other issues that may be to blame. Let's explore that in our FREE call.

GENERALISED ANXIETY

There are some breeds that are predisposed to feel more anxious about the world than others and it can be a challenge to try and work out what exactly it is that worries them, it can feel like it's just EVERYTHING! It is important to explore all areas of your dog's day-to-day so we can help to improve their anxiety as a whole.

"I used to NEVER walk Alfie. He's such a big lad and I was terrified of being dragged over. Laura showed me that anything is possible and we can now go for walks!"
