We listen to every one of you when it comes to training and behaviour challenges and one of the most common issues? How your dog reacts when you have guests over. So, we have created our BRAND NEW mini course to get you and your dog ready for those pop in visits (and sometimes unwanted guests...)

"What's involved?"
That first phone call...
First, we will start with a FREE discovery call with either one of us so you can take your time to explain how your dog acts around guests currently and we can ask any questions like "do they have any behavioural issues around people?", "have they done any basic training before?" The more we know about you and your dog during the call, the better we can plan your first session! (so you get even more bang for your buck!)
IMPORTANT: If your dog shows signs of anxiety, aggression, territorial behaviour or nervousness around guests, we will suggest a Behavioural Assessment first which you can find by clicking here.
How the sessions work...
Both sessions will take place at your home at a time convenient for you. The first session will cover all things that we need to know about your dog, their home environment, their basic training and building some strong foundation skills needed BEFORE any guests come to your home,
The second session will then be progressing with these skills, practicing what you have learnt in real time (as soon as we arrive, you'll put your hard work to the real test!) and we will spend the remainder of the session building on this, fixing any issues and looking at any struggles or challenges you're having.
You will be sent a recap of each session with a homework handout to follow and practice what you have learned.

Let's look at some common Guest Greeter behaviours...
JUMPING UP
Dogs that are easily excited by people just LOVE to jump up. It gets them attention and fusses after all (whether that's when we are pushing them down is by the by...)
Jumping up is persistent, frustrating and not what your guests want especially when they're probably dressed in their fancy clothes
UNABLE TO SETTLE
When novel things are around, especially in the home, dogs can often find it difficult to take themselves off and settle down. The excitement is just too much!
But when you have people round for a few hours at a time it is important that your dog can go and have some downtime; they just don't know how to.
RUSHING AT THE DOOR
Bringer of parcels. Gateway to the great outdoors. Entrance for people. The door is one of the biggest trigger points for dog's excitement (not to mention even a knock at the door!)
If they can't control themselves here, they sure won't be able to control themselves when the guests actually cross that threshold.
